My son, Calvin was inducted into the National Honor Society at the year end awards ceremony this morning. I had no idea that he was even considered for this honor until I received the invitation on my dashboard on Monday morning (so sad his dad had to miss it...on business in Prague!). With the reading of the NHS pledge, he is starting to lay the foundation for his next big leap, and I couldn't be more proud of the young man that was standing before me. Congratulations to Calvin and all of his Junior and Senior classmates on this great honor!

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY PLEDGE
I pledge to maintain my high scholastic standing,
To hold as fundamental and worthy
An untarnished character,
To endeavor intelligently and courageously
To be a leader,
And to give of myself freely in service to others.
In so doing, I shall prove myself worthy
Of a place in the National Honor Society.
